What do I do with my old core?

Please take your old transmission (called a core), back to your Advance Auto Parts or Carquest store of choice. We’ll take it from there.

When do I get my core credit?

Core credits go through and are at the discretion of the Advance Auto Parts or Carquest store from which you purchased your transmission.

What if my core is damaged?

Incomplete or damaged cores will be subject to reduced core values.

What’s my warranty?

The Shift Pro standard warranty is 3 years/unlimited mileage. Click here for more Shift Pro warranty information.

What if I sell my vehicle before the warranty expires?

Because your Your Shift Pro transmission warranty is attached to your vehicle’s VIN, it’s still covered, regardless of ownership.

What if I have a warranty issue?

Even though we have the lowest rate of failure in the industry, warranty claims happen. Should you need to start a claim, call 855-322-4805 or email support2@etereman.com.

What do I need to start a warranty claim?

Even though we have the lowest rate of failure in the industry, warranty. To start a claim, please have your full VIN, serial number, current mileage, customer complaint, codes, and fluid condition/fill level. Also, to ensure a quick turnaround from our technicians for a diagnosis, please have the vehicle at the repair facility that will be doing the warranty work.

What kinds of updates does Shift Pro do to its transmissions?

Each transmission that Shift Pro produces is fully remanufactured and meets or exceeds OE requirements. In addition to replacing worn or broken parts, our Research and Development department has identified points of failure in the original design that are corrected in the manufacturing process. To top it all off, each unit is dyno tested using simulated road conditions to make sure it’ll perform for you. 

How soon will my transmission arrive?

In stock units will ship within 48 hours. Units that need to be built can vary with shipping times.

Where will my transmission be shipping from?

Our primary remanufacturing facility is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and we work with a variety of carriers to provide, fast, nationwide shipping.

How is my transmission packaged?

All Shift Pro transmissions are shipped securely in specifically designed pods. What do you do with the pod once the installation of your transmission is complete? Simply place the core in the pod to be returned – hassle and damage-free.
